Dedi Dinarto

Dedi Dinarto is an Associate Director at FGS Global, where he advises corporates and investors on geopolitical and regulatory risk across Southeast Asia, with a specialism in Indonesia. He provides ongoing policy monitoring, market entry advisory, and crisis management support to corporates in financial services, energy, and infrastructure, while supporting investors in navigating political and regulatory risks affecting existing assets and potential acquisitions. He also works with clients to design stakeholder engagement strategies across government, industry, media, and civil society in Indonesia.

Prior to joining FGS Global, Dedi spent four years at a geopolitical risk advisory firm, advising corporates and investors on Southeast Asia. He also served as a foreign policy advisor to an Indonesian presidential candidate during the 2024 Presidential Election. He previously worked across policy research and advisory roles focused on Indonesian politics, economic policy, and regional security, including nearly five years at the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (IDSS) in Singapore. Earlier in his career, he worked on Southeast Asian regionalism research and track-two diplomacy initiatives at the ASEAN Studies Centre in Indonesia.

Dedi holds an MSc in International Relations from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, where he received the RSIS Research Analyst Study Award, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
