Began career in the aerospace defense industry, but ultimately transitioned to the energy industry with experience leading communications and public affairs teams in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors with a focus on infrastructure development and stakeholder relations as well as investor communications and ESG.

Serves as independent director and chair of Nom/Gov committee of public company bank board.

Frances Jeter is a Partner and head of the Houston office at FGS Global. She advises clients on complex transactions and special situations, including mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, IPO's, restructurings and transformations, shareholder activism, crises and litigation. Frances also advises multiple energy, industrial, extractive industry and technology clients on energy transition, climate change and ESG matters, and sustainability.

Recent representations include advising Aspen Technology on its $11B partnership with and acquisition of two technology business units with applications for the energy, electricity, oil & gas, transportation and industrial industries from Emerson Electric; Warwick Capital and Warwick Carbon Solutions on its financing partnership with ADM, 8 Rivers Capital, and NET Power on the Broadwing Clean Energy complex; Excelerate Energy on its IPO as well as ongoing investor relations, media, strategic communications and ESG matters; Waste Management on positioning of its multiple sustainability initiatives, such as waste-to-gas production efforts, the use of RNG in its fleet and facilities and recycling and on various environmental crisis and litigation matters; American Battery Technology Company on investor relations and the announcement of a new Board of Directors; the Chapter 11 financial restructurings for an LED lighting company, oilfield services companies, Weatherford and BJ Services and for the restaurant franchise, NPC as well as the consumer products marketing company, Acosta.

Frances also has advised many oil & gas and utility and power companies, including NRG, NiSource, Sempra Energy, El Paso Electric, OGE Energy, Calpine, TC Energy, YPF, Pioneer Natural Resources, Southwest Gas, QEP Resources, Diamondback Energy, Carrizo Oil and Gas and SemGroup on various transactions, activist defense, public affairs, crisis, and litigation defense matters.

Earlier in her career, Frances served as Group Vice President of Internal and External Affairs for Spectra Energy, where she was responsible for financial and investor communications, crisis communications, stakeholder relations related to infrastructure development, executive communications and sustainability and ESG. Frances also served as Vice President of Public Affairs for Duke Energy Gas Transmission, a predecessor company of Spectra Energy.
