Began her career in risk management and operations, first at an investment bank, then at an energy-derivative proprietary trading firm, before joining a boutique strategic and financial communications firm based in New York.

London transplant who has made her way west via New York, Chicago and San Francisco. Enjoys travel, cooking, the NYT crossword and hiking with her dog, Tony Soprano.

As a Director in the San Francisco office, Gabriella Coffey works with a range of clients on some of their most pressing matters, including shareholder activism and M&A, management changes and crisis situations.

Recent experience includes supporting SoftBank on multiple announcements, such as its equity share swap with Deutsche Telekom and the launch of its second fund in Latin America; the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company on its acquisition of Cooper Tire; Verso Corp. on its acquisition by BillerudKorsnäs; and TreeHouse Foods on mandates including its agreement with JANA Partners.

Gabriella's experience spans a broad range of industries, including energy, industrials, telecoms and media, and she has also worked on activist defense situations against Elliott Management, Carl Icahn, Starboard Value and ValueAct. Previously, she worked at Gladstone Place Partners, a boutique strategic and financial communications firm based in New York.

A dual U.S.-U.K. citizen, Gabriella graduated with first-class honors from University College London with a B.A. in French and Italian.
