With nearly 20 years' experience in healthcare policy and communications, Helen Oberg leads FGS Global's Healthcare Sector Group for Europe, advising clients on stakeholder engagement, regulatory strategy, and pan-European campaigns.
Before joining FGS, she served at Novo Nordisk, where she drove the company's government affairs strategy across the EU. In this role, she led engagement with EU institutions and key stakeholders while supporting the CEO during his EFPIA presidency. She coordinated affiliate strategies across European markets and played a central role in shaping industry positions on critical initiatives including the EU Pharmaceutical Legislation and the Critical Medicines Act.
Prior to Novo Nordisk, she led Marketing & Communications for Abbott Vascular EMEA, managing high-stakes product launches, digital transformation initiatives, and the integration of St. Jude Medical following Abbott's acquisition. Her responsibilities spanned market access strategy, major medical congress positioning, and both internal and external leadership communications across the region.
Earlier in her career, she headed the Healthcare team at SEC Newgate and worked at Burson, building deep expertise in healthcare communications and stakeholder strategy across agency and in-house environments.
Beyond FGS, she is a mother of five who recharges through literature, quality coffee, and travel, occasionally squeezing in football or tennis between adventures with family and friends.
