Iris Plöger is a Partner in FGS' Global Public Affairs Practice. She has more than two decades of experience as advisor for national and international policy, political strategy and stakeholder communication.
Until the end of 2025, she was a Member of the Executive Board of the Federation of German Industries (BDI e. V.) where she was responsible for digital and innovation policy, industrial health care, all legal matters and consumer policy. Before, she had established the first digital department for the BDI.
After achieving her law degree, working as scientific staff and completing training placements abroad, she started her career as a lawyer in the TMT sector group at Freshfields and focused on antitrust and merger cases.
