James joined in 2013 and leads FGS Global’s UK restructuring practice. As a Managing Director, he has significant strategic communications experience of high-profile recapitalisations, restructurings and refinancings – delivering a multi-stakeholder approach for all situations.
His wider capital markets experience includes large and complex mergers and acquisitions, and private equity-led takeovers in the UK and globally. This work has given James a detailed knowledge of competition and regulatory processes around transactions.
At FGS Global, he has advised some of the UK and Europe’s largest companies in sectors, including retail and consumer, financial services, commercial property, transport and telecoms.
Whether handling high-profile restructuring situations, crises, large transactions, building brand recognition or driving leadership positioning campaigns, he provides clients at a very senior level with strategic advice. James has a proven track record of driving positive media coverage, and writing op-eds and speeches for senior executives, helping to ensure they get the recognition they deserve among stakeholders.
