Jamie Obal

Jamie Obal is a Director in FGS Global's Washington, DC office. She develops and executes integrated public affairs and communications campaigns across a wide range of issue areas.

Prior to joining the firm, Jamie served in the Obama Administration as a Media Affairs Specialist and Spokesperson at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she managed the strategic public messaging and the daily media relations for the Department’s International Affairs, Terrorism, and Financial Intelligence portfolios.

Jamie also worked as a Special Assistant to former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and his Chief of Staff. While pursuing her Master’s in Public Policy, Jamie interned at the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, the State Department, and the White House Domestic Policy Council.

Jamie is originally from Los Angeles, California. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy and a BA in Political Science and English from the University of California, Irvine. Jamie currently lives in Washington, D.C.
