Jeff Hantson is a Managing Director in FGS Global's Government Affairs practice. Leveraging his experience as a Senate Judiciary Committee staffer, litigator, and engineer, Jeff develops and executes broad-based strategies for clients across a range of industries.
Prior to joining FGS Global, Jeff served as Deputy General Counsel for Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Dick Durbin (D-IL), where he led the Committee's efforts relating to antitrust, bankruptcy, intellectual property, technology, and other matters.
Jeff previously served as Senior Counsel for Sen. Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Prior to moving to the Hill, Jeff was a counsel at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr, where he represented clients in the pharmaceutical and high-tech industries in patent disputes before district courts and administrative agencies. Jeff also worked as a electrical engineer at Lockheed Martin.
Originally from New Jersey, Jeff received his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University. He lives in Falls Church, VA with his wife and daughter.
