Jenny Gore

Jenny Gore is a Partner in the Chicago office. She advises public and non-public companies, as well as financial sponsors, on a range of high-stakes and special situations.

She focuses primarily on issues related to the capital markets, including M&A and other transaction-related work, public listings and shareholder activism. She also advises several private equity firms and their portfolio companies, providing strategic counsel on positioning, media relations, crises and leadership transitions.

Recent representative assignments include supporting Veritas Capital on its acquisition of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and sale of athenahealth, Ensemble Health Partners on its potential IPO and subsequent sale, Lee Enterprises on defense against a hostile acquisition offer and proxy contest waged by Alden Capital, Willis Towers Watson on activist defense and leadership succession, Allbirds on its IPO and Colfax on its separation into two public companies.

Jenny started her career at Sard Verbinnen & Co, one of FGS Global's predecessor firms, based in San Francisco. She grew up in Madison, WI and holds a BA in Economics and Finance from Santa Clara University.
