Justin Ballard

Justin Ballard is a Senior Associate in FGS Global’s Government Affairs division. He works on energy and sustainability-related issues.

Prior to joining FGS Global, Justin graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in political science, German, and business. He has completed two separate internships with DTE Energy, an investor-owned utility in Michigan. In his first role, he supported DTE’s Federal Government Affairs division by monitoring hearings and conducting research memos. In his second role, he supported DTE’s Policy, Strategy & Advocacy division, which involved analyzing the energy regulatory environment from a state-level perspective.

Additionally, Justin served as a research intern for the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to help Embassy staff promote nuclear energy in Eastern Europe, interned in the Office of Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) as a legislative intern, and interned with Albright Stonebridge Group's Energy and Sustainability practice.
