Kala Krishnan is a Director on FGS Global’s Transactions & Financial Communications team in New York. She advises clients on complex financial, corporate and special situations, including cross-border M&A, IPOs, SPACs and shareholder activism.

Her areas of expertise include investor relations and transaction communications and she advises business leaders across a range of industries including financial services, health care and technology. Her experience also includes management transitions, executive visibility and corporate profile-raising campaigns.

Key representations include Takeda Pharmaceutical Company in its acquisition of Shire, ABB in its acquisition of GE Industrial Solutions, various SPAC mergers and listings, including MultiPlan with Churchill Capital Corporation, Social Capital’s SPACs and the loanDepot IPO. She has also provided media and investor relations support to clients in the Middle East.

Prior to joining the firm, Kala worked with Ernst & Young’s transaction advisory practice in Mumbai, India. During her tenure at EY, she worked on domestic and global transactions across a variety of industries, including retail, pharmaceuticals, automotive and real estate.

Kala is a graduate of the University of Mumbai and earned her Chartered Accountant (CPA) license from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where she focused her research on investor relations.
