Katrin was deputy minister of defence after she worked many years at McKinsey, in the end as a senior partner, leading the public sector practice and the Berlin office.
Katrin holds various non-executive board mandates. She and her wife Katja have 3 kids and both are engaged in a social initiative aiming to bring volunteer work into the 21st century.

Katrin has a background in physics, wrote her PhD thesis about what we call AI today. She thinks of herself as being a “nerd by nature”.
