Kaveh Farzad is a Managing Director in FGS Global's Washington D.C. office. His core focus is to help global clients across industries navigate complex public affairs and communications matters in the United States and around the world.
Kaveh joined FGS from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of International Affairs, where he was the lead for the Arabian Peninsula and West Africa, advising senior leadership on energy policy planning and strategy. Kaveh also helped create and launch the Net-Zero Producers Forum, a multilateral body of major oil and gas producing nations cooperating on net-zero strategies, energy security, and emissions transparency.
Kaveh previously served in the U.S. Department of State, most recently as Chief Speechwriter and Communications Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See in Rome, Italy. He was also a Public Affairs Specialist in the Bureau of Energy Resources in Washington for a short time.
Before joining the U.S. government, Kaveh led communications at the nonpartisan Pacific Council on International Policy in Los Angeles. He holds an Masters in Political Theory from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Political Science from the University of La Verne. He also speaks fluent Farsi.
Kaveh lives in South Baltimore with his wife and their three young children, where he coaches youth soccer and baseball, and gets hurt doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
