As a Managing Director on FGS Global’s Japan team, Keiichi brings 30+ years of experience from MUFG, the largest Japan based multinational financial institution. Keiichi advises clients on their communication activities in Japan and develops new business opportunities by providing strategic counsel to their global challenges in relation to Japan, including employee engagement, transformation, organization development and crisis management.
Before joining FGS Global, Keiichi worked closely with senior executives at MUFG to plan and execute enterprise level solutions for their global challenges, including new business initiatives, international crisis management, culture integration of international leaders, and post-merger integration efforts.
In the most recent 6 years, Keiichi led the Global HR team of 600+ spanning across more than 20 countries in Asia, EMEA and the Americas. Prior to that, he also operated in a leadership capacity in the Chief of Staff International function and acted as a point person to cover enterprise-wide challenges in their international platform. Earlier in his career, he experienced various roles at MUFG including multiple roles in the Japan Domestic HR function, business unit CFO and Head of Strategy for their US multinational business and credit officer for the emerging markets portfolio.
A graduate of the Keio University, Keiichi holds a bachelor’s degree in law. He spent his youth going back and forth between Tokyo and New York and considers both cities his hometown. Loves playing golf with his wife, and lives with his family in Tokyo.
