Lauren Marshall is a Director in the Government Affairs Division based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Lauren helps clients across a range of industries navigate Congress and the Administration by providing key political insights and advice.
Lauren previously served as U.S. Senator Mark R. Warner’s (D-VA) Legislative Director, managing his legislative team and advancing his policy priorities during the 117th Congress. These priorities included the Senator’s concurrent roles in negotiations on the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Senate Budget Committee’s reconciliation package, which laid the foundation for the Inflation Reduction Act. Over the course of her eight years with Senator Warner’s office, she also served as Senior Policy Advisor, Legislative Assistant, Legislative Aide, and Legislative Correspondent, supporting the Senator across multiple portfolios. Previously, she was a Field Organizer on Elizabeth Colbert Busch’s campaign for Congress.
Lauren graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Political Science. She resides in Washington, D.C., with her daughter, mother, and their very lazy shepherd/lab mix.
