Lisa is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications Division of FGS Global, where she specializes in the development, execution and management of large-scale corporate, consumer and issue-based communications campaigns. She brings great organization and process to her accounts, which include a broad range of financial services, automotive and non-profit clients.
Prior to joining FGS Global, Lisa spent three years working at Edelman as an integral part of its natural resources team. There she aided in leading third party and blogger engagement, grassroots and grasstops advocacy and social media for America’s oil and natural gas industry.
Lisa’s dual interest in geology and communications led her to the National Waterways Conference, a small trade association dedicated to the needs of America’s waterways, locks and dams, and ports. She began her career there as the right hand to the Executive Director, acting as the communications assistant, member liaison, event planner and more—a jack-of-all-trades.
Lisa grew up in a small town in North Carolina and attended Washington and Lee University. She received a BA in Geology, Journalism, and Mass Communications. Lisa lives with her husband and two sons in D.C.
