As a Director on the FGS Global’s Food team, Liz Friedlander advises a wide array of clients and executes campaigns around food, nutrition and agriculture issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Liz served as Policy Communications Director for the National Corn Growers Association, overseeing all D.C.-based communications for the trade association including farm bill reauthorization, USMCA ratification, ethanol policy and helping farmers navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
Liz previously served as Democratic Communications Director for the U.S. House Agriculture Committee and Minnesota Congressman Collin Peterson. During this time she led the Agriculture Committee’s communications efforts on a wide variety of issues including work to preserve nutrition program funding in the farm bill, enact GMO labeling standards and implement financial reforms, among other Committee priorities.
Liz also served as Press Secretary for the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, aiding the Committee’s work to reauthorize child nutrition programs, among other policy priorities.
A native of Hazen, N.D., Liz holds a degree in Mass Communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead and currently lives in Washington, D.C.
