Lucy Dao

Lucy Dao is a Director in the Los Angeles office. She advises clients on corporate positioning and media relations programs, as well as transactions and special situations, including IPOs, M&A, crisis situations, and geopolitical issues, with a focus on transpacific engagements between the United States and Asia. Prior to relocating to the US West Coast, Lucy spent over six years in the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Lucy’s notable assignments include advising Alibaba Group on global media relations and high-stakes announcements; Ant Group on corporate matters and proposed listing; Wanda Sports Group, Bilibili, TDCX and VNG on their US IPOs; geopolitical and issues management advisory for notable VC/tech startup firms; DiDi Global, Oaktree Capital, China Rensaissance and CanSinoBIO on positioning and media relations; and Toshiba on its response to activist shareholders.

Lucy graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) with a M.A. in International Relations and International Economics and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Peking University.
