Joined FGS Global in January 2021, Mei Zhang has 25 years of professional experience in news media, corporate communications, government affairs, event management and advisory work. As a cross-cultural specialist, Mei also provides cultural insight, strategic counsel to cross-border related projects.
Mei had worked at Goldman Sachs in Asia for 11 years as an Executive Director in Corporate Communications, China Liaison Group and Government Affairs. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Salomon Smith Barney, Citigroup.
Mei started her professional career as a video journalist at CNN in Atlanta and had worked in news production at CNN International and CNN Financial News during her five-year tenure.
More recently, Mei had written a column for Week in China, an English magazine on China’s business and cultural trends, and acted as advisor to Artemis Associates and program director of Fortune global tech and sustainability forums. She was a founding board member of the NGO Teach for China.
Mei holds an M.A. in Mass Communications from Louisiana State University and a B.A. in International Journalism from Beijing Institute of International Relations.
