Melissa Esguerra

Melissa is a Managing Director at FGS Global Singapore, where she advises organisations on corporate positioning, crisis and issues preparedness, reputation management, and stakeholder engagement in complex, multi-market and cross-cultural environments.

Melissa has led integrated cross-border communications mandates across diverse markets, with a specific focus on clients based in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. She has led multi-market narrative development projects, supporting organisations ranging from startups to large multinational and public sector institutions in defining and communicating their strategies consistently across geographies and stakeholder groups. Her sector experience includes blockchain, cryptocurrency and digital assets, energy, financial services, government, healthcare, industrials, payments, and technology.

Prior to joining FGS Global, Melissa was among the earliest employees at Wachsman Singapore, a strategic communications consultancy specializing in blockchain and digital assets. Over nearly six years with the firm, she helped broaden the Singapore office’s client base beyond crypto-native companies into sectors including banking, fintech, green technology, and payments.

With a strong appreciation for and first-hand experience in navigating cross-cultural communications, Melissa has lived in seven countries across Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe. Melissa graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, with a minor in Linguistics. She is fluent in English and Tagalog.
