Nick Schumacher is a Director in FGS Longview’s Calgary office, with experience advising on energy and environmental policy, stakeholder engagement, and government relations.
Prior to joining Longview, Nick worked on clean energy and decarbonization files at the Pembina Institute, where he led the organization’s Alberta-focused electricity work. He has previously held policy advisory positions with the federal government at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and Natural Resources Canada. During his tenure with the federal government, he advised on key policy files including natural resource development, Indigenous economic reconciliation, telecommunications, and COVID-19 response.
Nick holds a Masters of Public Policy degree from the University of Calgary as well as a Bachelors of Science (Honours) in Biological Science, with a Minor in Economics.
