Niels Schlesier is a Managing Director in the Berlin office of FGS Global. He co-leads the local Corporate & Transactions team. As an experienced adviser across various critical issues and industries, Niels partners with clients on ongoing corporate positioning, transactions, complex regulatory hurdles, litigation, and reputational crises, often across borders.
Before joining FGS Global in 2022, Niels spent ten years at Brunswick Group which he split between different offices in Germany and Greater China. At Brunswick, he acted as Germany-China link, helped build and co-led the German FDI practice, and co-developed the offering for high growth companies.
Focused on critical issues, Niels helps companies build and protect their reputation and engage successfully across different stakeholder groups. He advised numerous leading Chinese businesses as they invested, expanded or listed overseas. Landmark projects included e.g. the largest fundraising of a private company, the largest Asian privatization, and the largest Chinese investment into Germany.
Niels studied economics and political science. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Economics from Barcelona School of Economics. He’s fluent in German, English and French and speaks basic Spanish.
