Based in China since 2009, Oliver has more than a decade of experience in media, marketing and communications in the Chinese market, working at multinationals as well as state-owned and privately-held Chinese companies and media organizations.
With a focus on energy, industrials and infrastructure, he has served a range of clients including Henkel, Covestro, Synthomer, Genesis Motor, Volkswagen, Zeiss and New Development Bank, and has provided international corporate communications services to major Chinese brands such as Pingan Technology, TCL, Yili Group and BGI.
Oliver has worked in-house for Chinese brands overseeing their global media and PR work. He was Global Marketing Director for New York-listed solar energy company ReneSola, and English Editor and Marketing Manager at 21st Century Business Herald, a daily newspaper.
As a business news reporter and editor, Oliver accumulated almost a decade of experience in London and Shanghai covering emerging markets. He held roles including Editor-in-Chief of China Economic Review and China Energy Editor at Interfax.
Oliver continues to maintain strong relations with international media based in China and is a board member of the Shanghai Foreign Correspondent’s Club since 2020.
Oliver has a BA Degree with Honours in History from the University of London and an MA Degree in Publishing from the London College of Communication. He a native English speaker, fluent in Polish and business proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
