As a Partner in FGS Global’s Hong Kong office, Paul Yang looks after clients in Greater China market and brings nearly two decades of strategic communications and public affairs experience. Before relocating to Hong Kong at the beginning of 2018, he has spent more than 15 years providing senior counsel to government-related entities, non-governmental organizations and private companies in mainland China, as well as multi-national companies (MNCs) across Asia.

At FGS Global, Paul has advised senior executives on a range of topics and practice areas including corporate and reputation management, crisis and issues handling including COVID-19 response and recovery, CEO communications, B2B engagements, financial services and capital markets, automotive and mobility, healthcare, public affairs and stakeholder outreach. He has a deep understanding of China’s changing media landscape and complex business environment.

Prior to joining the firm, Paul was General Manager of Ruder Finn Beijing office before relocating to Hong Kong to lead the growth of that office. In Beijing, he launched a public affairs practice that helped a number of MNCs clients engage governmental stakeholders in China and better understand and respond to the regulatory environment. During his tenure with Ruder Finn in Hong Kong, he also managed the automotive practice for the firm across Greater China region.

Paul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Marketing from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, China. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
