Served as vice president of healthcare communications at Weber Shandwick and Ogilvy where she led the development and launch of internal and external communications programs for pharmaceutical clients including AbbVie, Johnson and Johnson, Merck, Pfizer and Sanofi.

Loves to cook and host family and friends, while planning her next overseas adventure. She is also a proud board member of CentroNía, a nationally recognized non-profit organization that provides bilingual early childhood education and support services to families in the Washington, DC area.
Phenola Lawrence is a Director in the Strategic Communications Division of FGS Global, where she works with clients to develop integrated communications and stakeholder relations campaigns that drive brand perception and solve for reputational issues.
Prior to her role as Director, Phenola served as Vice President at Weber Shandwick and Ogilvy where she led various communication initiatives for pharmaceutical clients including FDA product approvals, disease education campaigns, celebrity spokesperson campaigns, narrative development, and executive thought leadership programs.
Phenola has also held roles at REQ, Avalere Health, and Fleishman Hillard. Her diverse background blends together public education campaigns, crisis support, media relations, digital marketing, and healthcare policy to support clients across the healthcare spectrum.
Phenola holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a BA in Journalism with a minor in Sociology from Penn State University. She lives in Washington, DC and can be found exploring the local dining scene.
