Rachel works with companies in a variety of sectors to navigate U.S. international trade and tax policy.
Rachel has nearly 18 years of experience in the tax and trade policy spaces having worked for a senior member on the House Ways and Means Committee, a large business association representing the U.S. subsidiaries of global companies, and a UK-based medical device company.

Rachel Alexander is a Managing Director in FGS Global’s Government Affairs Division primarily working to advance clients’ interests in international trade and tax policy.
Prior to joining the firm, Rachel spent twelve years in the private sector advising global companies across multiple industry sectors. Most recently, Rachel worked for a global manufacturer in the life science industry helping the company navigate tax reform, changes to U.S. trade and sanctions policies, international supply chain challenges, and global market access issues.
Rachel also served as the Head of Government Affairs for the Global Business Alliance, a trade association representing international companies invested in the United States. In this capacity, she spent four years working with tax directors on a range of international tax issues, including Department of Treasury regulations, the OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Project, US tax treaties, and tax legislation on inversions, and interfaced closely with Congressional offices and administration officials.
Prior to working in the private sector, Rachel spent six years working on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide handling international trade issues for a senior member of the House Ways and Committee.
Rachel graduated summa cum laude from Chapman University with a BA in Political Science and lives in Alexandria with her family.
