Ramy always liked taking on big problems head on, which is why he spent two years working for Google in the MENA region as the PR & Comms Manager during the testing time of the Arab Spring. Seeing his growing passion for more challenges, he later took on the route of private PR and worked with global brands including Coca-Cola, Vodafone, and Barclays.

Fast forward a few years & Ramy met his biggest challenge (and passion) to date in the form of digital advertising where he led as the Head of Planning for Egypt & KSA at AKQA (formerly known as hug digital prior to being acquired by AKQA in 2019). His time at hug digital also included a two-year stint as the Cairo office's General Manager which saw its expansion from 15 to 120+ employees and the acquisition of more than 70 clients across various industries in the MENA region.

In 2020, Ramy launched his own marketing consultancy – Caktuss - where he partnered with many exciting brands in MENA to take their digital & marketing strategies to the next level including Google Arabia, YouTube Arabia, the WHO EMRO, The Gouna Film Festival, Talaat Moustafa Group, Orascom Developments, and others.

In 2021, Ramy joined the Saudi Tourism Authority as a Creative Consultant, and then as the Global Brand Partnerships Section Head, working on promoting the "Visit Saudi" brand to the world.

When he’s not out for a run at 6 AM, he’s probably tending to one of his 400+ plants.
