Richard Webster-Smith

As a Partner in FGS Global’s Capital Markets team, Richard brings two decades of financial markets and strategic communications expertise to his clients.

Richard joined the firm in 2013 and has widespread experience advising UK and international companies in a range of areas including financial communications strategy, capital markets transactions, crisis communications and reputation management. He has held senior communications roles at two FTSE 100 companies – BAE Systems and London Stock Exchange Group, where he worked on the successful defence against four hostile takeover bids. He also spent six years in the London Stock Exchange’s primary markets division where he was responsible for exchange’s international listings activities in North America, Africa, India and the Middle East. Richard has an honours degree in Economics from the University of Durham.
