Rory King is a Managing Director in the London office. He advises public and private companies on all aspects of their strategic communications including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, crisis situations, litigation support, internal communications, corporate positioning and corporate responsibility. In particular, he has considerable experience working with private capital investors and their portfolio companies. Notable experience includes working with, Oaktree Capital, Providence Equity Partners, Greyhound Capital, Nassau Financial Group, The Carlyle Group, and TSG Consumer.
Rory also advised brands and businesses on environmental, social and governance practices including, supply chain issues, corporate social responsibility frameworks, stakeholder engagement strategies, and sustainability reporting.
Rory's other notable recent assignments include: Zoom on reputation, security and privacy related matters; GXO on its spin-off from XPO Logistics; OneMain Financial on its annual ESG Report; Leigh Day and Mbuyisa Moleele on their class action against Anglo American South Africa; and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles on its merger with Groupe PSA.
Prior to joining the firm, Rory worked at Montfort Communications where he helped found the financial services practice. During that time, he worked on strategic communications programs for Coller Capital, Gresham House plc, Lion Capital, ICU, AXA Venture Partners, Permira and Stonehage Fleming.
Previously, Rory worked at MHP Communications where his. Notable clients included: General Atlantic, H.I.G. Capital, Bloomberg, Rabobank, C&J Clarks, ghd, Neptune Investment Management, Newton Asset Management, Thompson Reuters, Oxford Instruments and Card Factory.
Rory has a Masters in Politics and Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh.
