Rory has considerable experience advising private capital investors and their portfolio companies. While at FGS Global, he has worked with Oaktree Capital, Providence Equity Partners, Apollo, Thoma Bravo, Great Hill Partners, Hellman & Friedman, Nassau Financial Group, The Carlyle Group, and TSG Consumer.
Rory's notable recent assignments include: Providence on its sale of MasOrange to Orange, alongside KKR and Cinven; Dauch Corporation's acquisition of Dowlais; ABC Technologies on its acquisition of TI Fluid Systems; Oaktree on its ownership of Inter Milan; Novozymes on its combination with Christian Hansen; Deutsche Bank on its acquisition of Numis; Zoom on reputation, security and privacy related matters; GXO on its spin-off from XPO Logistics; and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles on its merger with Groupe PSA.
Prior to joining FGS Global, Rory worked on strategic communications programmes for Coller Capital, Permira, Lion Capital, Stonehage Fleming, Gresham House plc, General Atlantic, H.I.G. Capital, Bloomberg, Rabobank, C&J Clarks, Oxford Instruments plc and Card Factory plc.
Outside of client work, Rory helps lead recruitment and training for FGS Global’s UKMEA graduate programme.
Rory has a Masters (Hon) in Politics and Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh.
