A Bostonian at heart — and sometimes in accent — Ryan lives in D.C. with his husband. He loves reality television, Beyoncé, and a good hot sauce.

Ryan Carey-Mahoney (he/they) facilitates content and strategy development across a variety of digital and social platforms to ensure maximum impact, strong brand voice, and overall depth of engagement and reach.

Before joining FGS Global, Ryan drove and executed social media and digital strategies for several high-profile brands. Most recently, Ryan worked at Twitter where he helped drive content curation and creation for Twitter Trends and Moments. Before Twitter, Ryan helped lead digital communications for the Human Rights Campaign’s members and supporters and worked on social media teams for The Washington Post and USA Today. In 2017, he and his Post team won the Edward R. Murrow Excellence in Social Media Award for social coverage of the 2016 presidential election. Ryan also has experience as a lecturer for Northwestern University and is an accomplished freelance writer.

A Bostonian at heart (and sometimes in accent), Ryan loves reality television, Beyoncé, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and eating as much hot sauce as he can get. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Mass Communications from The George Washington University, where he led several community service organizations. Ryan currently lives in Washington, D.C. with his partner.
