Ryan is a Director in the Government Affairs, Policy and Advocacy team at FGS Global’s London office. He joined FGS Global from the UK Government, where he worked as a Special Adviser to the Secretary of State at the Department for Transport.
Before joining the DfT, Ryan was Head of Policy in the Conservative Research Department, where he also advised on energy, transport and business policy, including during the 2019 General Election.
Ryan has also worked in Parliament, both for a policy research group where he specialised in energy and, following the 2017 General Election, for the Scottish Conservatives where he established a shared research and press operation for the MP group. He has also advised major multinational corporations on public affairs while at another agency.
