Ryan is a Managing Director in the Global Public Affairs team at FGS Global’s London office. He brings more than a decade’s experience working in and around the UK political system, and primarily advises clients on their engagement with Government, political parties and regulators. Ryan specialises in working with clients to fully develop their policy positions, objectives and political advocacy strategies.
Ryan joined FGS Global from the UK Government, where he worked as a Special Adviser to the Secretary of State at the Department for Transport. Before joining the DfT, Ryan was Head of Policy for the Conservative Party.
Ryan has also worked in Parliament, both for a policy research group where he specialised in energy and, following the 2017 General Election, for the Scottish Conservatives where he established a shared research and press operation for the MP group. He has also advised major multinational corporations on public affairs while at another agency.
