Scott has lived in Washington, D.C. for more than 20 years but still considers himself a Coloradan at heart.
Scott Weier is a Partner in FGS Global's Health practice, based in Washington D.C. With over two decades of experience in health communications, he specializes in corporate communications, national media relations, advocacy, and strategic consulting.
Before rejoining FGS Global in 2021, Scott spent six years at Kaiser Permanente, where he led corporate communications for the Mid-Atlantic region and later national media relations for the entire organization. He also spearheaded advocacy and coalition-building for Kaiser Permanente’s national community health team and oversaw critical COVID-19 response efforts. Earlier, he managed strategic communications for Avalere Health, a D.C.-based health policy and business consulting firm, advising a wide range of pharmaceutical, provider, and foundation clients.
Scott began his career in editorial roles, managing publications for health-focused organizations like The Advisory Board Company, the California HealthCare Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Scott holds a joint Masters in Public Health (MPH) and MBA from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, providing him with a unique blend of public health insight and business acumen. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Trinity University.
