Scott worked at legacy The Glover Parker Group before spending six years at Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest health care delivery systems in the United States. At KP, Scott led corporate communications for the Mid-Atlantic region before being tapped to lead national media relations for the organization. He most recently led advocacy and coalition building for the organization's national community health team.
Scott also managed strategic communications for Avalere Health, a D.C.-based consulting firm focused on health policy and business. At Avalere, Scott worked across content teams, spearheading strategic communication engagements for a wide range of pharmaceutical, provider, foundation, device, managed care and association clients. Prior to joining Avalere, Scott spent several years in the editorial world, managing publications for the Advisory Board Company, the California HealthCare Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Scott earned a joint Masters in Public Health and MBA from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, and received a BA in English and Communications from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
