Vera is a Director in the San Francisco office. She provides counsel and executes communications strategies for a variety of public and private clients at various stages of growth. Vera supports clients across many industries including fintech and traditional financial services, technology and media. She has expertise advising and executing on strategic media relations and corporate reputation programs for management teams and global brands, as well as providing transaction and crisis support.
Vera has worked with clients through a range of special situations, including M&A, executive leadership transitions, crisis management, litigation support, fundraising and public listing support, as well as complex cross-border projects.
Select past assignments include providing support to Zoom Video Communications on positioning and media relations, Grab on its public listing on NASDAQ and acquisition of Uber’s Southeast Asia operations, enterprise software platforms Okta and Zendesk for various special situations; Fitbit on its acquisition by Google; and Gap Inc. on its announced separation into two publicly-traded companies.
Prior to joining predecessor firm SVC, Vera held internships at AlphaSights, the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, the British Consulate General Houston and the office of Houston City Council Member Ellen Cohen. Vera graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Political Science and Policy Studies.
