Will Edgar is a Partner in the New York office of FGS Global, where he helps clients to define and build reputations and manage through major crises, with a focus on the reputational impact of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence & machine learning, robotics and blockchain.
Since joining the firm in 2008, he has worked with financial services, automotive, energy, academic and non-profit clients on a range of sensitive matters including technology-driven business transformations, large-scale corporate reputation programs, complex litigation, regulatory investigations and enforcement matters, ESG communications and activist campaigns.
He has extensive experience building multi-stakeholder engagement programs in highly-regulated spaces, with a focus on navigating reputational, policy and legal issues associated with disruptive technologies. Areas of focus have included AI and machine learning deployment (including safety protocols, testing frameworks and public trust in autonomous systems); connected technologies and associated data collection & consumer risk issues; and data privacy and cybersecurity issues across global jurisdictions.
Prior to joining FGS Global, Will served in a variety of government and political communications roles, including as an aide to then-Senator Hillary Clinton’s 2008 Presidential campaign, as Press Secretary to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, as a communications aide to former President Bill Clinton and the William J. Clinton Foundation and in various capacities on other national, state and local campaigns.
Will is a graduate of Williams College in Massachusetts, where he earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Art.
