William advises private capital funds on regulatory, policy and political risks and opportunities in transactions and portfolio companies. Will specializes in M&A across highly regulated and politicised sectors of the global economy, including financial services, healthcare, education and sustainability.
Will’s clients are private equity funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors. He has advised 8 of the world’s 10 largest private equity funds, including regulatory, policy and political due diligence on transactions around the world.
Before FGS Global, Will led the Investor Services practice of Global Counsel.
This followed nine years as a British diplomat and as political adviser to the UK Foreign Secretary, Trade Secretary and International Development Secretary. Earlier in his career, Will worked for a strategy consultancy, supporting private equity and corporates with commercial due diligence and strategy. He has a doctorate from Oxford University and is a local councillor.
