Life at FGS Global

Advises companies on reputation management, as well as communications strategies during crisis and cross-border M&A. Worked with a wide variety of international companies operating in China and Chinese companies going global.

Life Pre-FGS Global

Worked as Shell China spokesperson before moving to Brunswick Group. Prior to Shell, spent a long time in journalism working with different media outlets ranging from Chinese to western, print to broadcast.

Life Beyond FGS Global

Likes to swim, and do all kinds of outdoor activities. Enjoys hosting parties for friends. Spending quality time with family is also important.

Xiaoni advises companies on corporate communications such as issues/crisis management, cross-border mergers, IPO and acquisitions, and long-term corporate reputation management. She has extensive experience advising technology, media, geopolitical and energy issues, and worked with a wide variety of international companies operating in China and Chinese companies going global.

Before joining FGS Global, Xiaoni worked for Brunswick Group. She previously served as an official spokesperson for Shell in China, managing a range of media-related roles – from developing and executing media engagement strategies and conducting senior executive media training to issue/crisis management and corporate reputation work.

Prior to Shell, Xiaoni worked in media, during which she served as a senior editor/producer at CNN, in addition to working as a reporter for multiple Chinese national media outlets earlier in her career. In her time as a journalist, she covered a variety of major international as well as China stories and had her work recognized with awards including a News & Documentary Emmy Award and an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award.
