Started her career in journalism, writing for local publications and interning at Telemundo Network’s Washington, D.C. bureau. Spent 10 years at Prospero Latino, a bilingual Latino-focused strategic communications firm acquired by FGS Global in October 2023.

Yamila Pino is a Director at FGS Global's Latino stakeholder practice, FGS Prospero, bringing experience helping clients connect, influence and gain inroads with Latinos across a wide range of issue areas.

Prior to joining FGS, she worked for a decade at the bilingual strategic communications firm Prospero Latino, which was fully incorporated into FGS in October 2023. During her time at Prospero Latino, Yamila held various positions, most recently Vice President of Latino/Hispanic Media Relations.

Earlier in her career, Yamila interned at Telemundo Network's Washington, D.C. bureau, where she covered significant events such as the passage of the Senate's immigration reform bill and the 2013 government shutdown. She also worked as a communications and business development assistant for the Overseas Press Club of Puerto Rico, helping establish relationships with corporate sponsors and philanthropies and as a writer for several local publications. She also taught underprivileged children in Cluj Napoca, Romania.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Journalism from the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras, and a specialization in Puerto Rican and Latin American literature.
