Tell us about a typical day

What I enjoy about this job is that there isn’t really a typical day. Being staffed on a wide variety of engagements with clients across industries means that a workday could range anywhere from providing counsel regarding trends and developments in U.S.-China relations to advising on a proxy fight strategy.

What is your favorite aspect of the job?

My favorite aspect of the job would probably be having the opportunity to work on and advise clients in high-profile situations. It is a rewarding feeling to see the impact of your work featured in headlines and segments across major news outlets.

How would you describe yourself as a member of the team?

Even as a Senior Associate, as a member of my teams I am given the opportunity to weigh in on engagement strategies and provide my perspective. I am also able to draw on my cultural background and linguistic proficiencies to provide further insight and support when the situation calls for it.

What do you think is special about FGS Global?

One thing that is special about FGS Global is the culture of collaboration that the firm fosters. The company leverages its strong global footprint and regional presences in major markets through cross-office teams that draw on the expertise of employees around the world.

How did you begin your career in the industry?

I started out as a summer intern and returned to join legacy SVC full-time after graduating in May 2020.

Tell us about a typical day

A typical day as a Government Relations Associate in the D.C. office usually consists of monitoring media and Congressional hearings, compiling memos for clients on Members of Congress and Administration officials.

What is your favorite aspect of the job?

My favorite aspect of the job is the opportunity to work alongside innovative clients on the most pressing and impactful issues in the food and technology sectors.

How would you describe yourself as a member of the team?

I provide support to help advance our clients’ interests on both of my teams. I have a deep interest in both the food and technology areas, and I enjoy the opportunity to work alongside my peers who have tremendous experience in these industries.

How did you begin your career in the industry?

I started my career in the industry as an intern for Glover Park Group during the summer of 2019. My internship was very fulfilling and solidified my interest in policy, advocacy and strategy.
