How the application process works

Step 1. We will ask you to fill out a short form and send us your CV and we will also ask you to address an FGS Global-specific case study analysis task that is designed to highlight the brightest, most creative graduates. This task is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your research skills, creative thinking and ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.

Your completed case study analysis should be structured as a 1–2-page summary in English, providing a focused, well-organized overview of your findings.

We appreciate that this task takes a lot of work, but it gives us the opportunity to assess in a completely objective way based on your abilities and talents.

Your case study analysis and CV must be submitted in PDF format. This application must be completed by Friday 20th March at 23:59 HKT – late applications will not be accepted.

Step 2. Shortlisted candidates will be sent an online written assessment, and if you are applying for a position in one of our locations where Asian language skills are required, we will ask you to complete an assessment in this language

Step 3. We will host a series of assessments including group tasks, problem solving exercises and interviews the week of 20th April 2026. Further details of the final assessment phase will be announced in due course.

Successful applicants will start full-time on 10th August 2026.

What was your journey prior to FGS Global and how did you hear about the firm?

Prior to joining FGS, I worked as a public affairs and government relations associate at a local agency in Los Angeles. After graduating and studying Sociology, I decided to further my academic career and studied public relations and advertising at the University of Southern California. I had done several PR-related internships across various industries and discovered my utmost passion for financial communications. Being one of the best in the sector, FGS Global had always been the company I aspired to join. I had decided to relocate to Asia around the same time the UKMEA program went live, and it was at that moment that I knew I had to apply.

Tell us about a typical day

Each day can be vastly different, but I always start my morning by conducting media monitoring. Some might say clipping is a mindless task, but it truly is the best way to stay on top of all the industry news and grasp the media sentiment toward your clients. My everyday tasks for each client vary a lot, ranging from conducting background research, drafting press releases, to comprising coverage reports.

What is your favorite aspect of the job?

Having endless things to learn. My clients range from private equity firms, tech giants, to consulting companies. No two days are the same, and I am constantly absorbing new knowledge and skillsets from not only doing client tasks but also working with all the intelligent individuals in the office.

How would you describe yourself as a member of the team?

Being one of the newer members on the team, I consider myself as curious, diligent, and enthusiastic. I think it’s important to acknowledge that as a young professional, there’s limitless space for improvement. Hence, I am extremely receptive to feedback and open to new challenges.

What do you think is special about FGS Global?

The people. I am thankful to be surrounded by a cohort of people who are extremely intelligent, experienced, supportive and willing-to-teach. They are my colleagues, mentors, and friends. People at my office come from different academic and professional background, and I think it’s not only fascinating but also crucial to work with people who can share different perspectives in our industry.

What was your journey prior to FGS Global and how did you hear about the firm?

Before joining FGS Global, I studied Economics and History at the University of Chicago. My previous work experiences include an internship in ESG consulting and writing for an English-language publication with a China focus. I first heard of FGS through a friend at the firm and was encouraged to apply through the UKMEA Graduate Program. With a keen interest in the geopolitics, financial sector, and current affairs, FGS stood out as a very compelling career choice given the breadth of its operational scope and client base. Working here now, I confidently say I have made the right choice!

Tell us about a typical day

Typical mornings consist of media monitoring and client research, which are vital to our media intelligence operations and an opportunity to keep me informed and sharp. Outside of the routine work, the rest of the day is often quite unpredictable. Each day brings something new, and I find that the dynamic nature of my work makes it hard to describe a typical day!

What is your favorite aspect of the job?

My favourite aspect of the job is how dynamic the work is. We have a diverse list of major global clients, each with their own goals and needs. As a graduate, the opportunity to work closely with these big names, and to be clued into their ever-changing agendas and targets, is a great learning experience. At FGS, you can learn at an incredible pace.

How would you describe yourself as a member of the team?

I consider myself to be a rather outspoken and opinionated person, and I’m glad that is seen as a plus here. Everyone here is a valued member of the team regardless of level, and everyone’s voice matters. As a team member, I already feel that I shoulder real responsibility. The work here is very collaborative, and I can both support and lead various client engagements.

What do you think is special about FGS Global?

In the corporate communications industry, there aren’t many firms with a scope of business that matches FGS Global. We are truly a global firm with a global offering, and it’s great that our current and future clients are starting to understand just how much we can do for them. For me, it offers a chance to learn from all the wonderful people at FGS who are specialists in diverse fields. It’s the people that make a firm like FGS succeed, and we have no shortage of supportive, knowledgeable, and hardworking talent.

Tokyo and London

What was your journey prior to FGS Global and how did you hear about the firm?

Before joining FGS, I studied Politics and International Studies at the Warwick University, during which I did a year abroad in Japan and a PR internship. Therefore, working at a global communications consultancy such as FGS was a completely natural next step. I applied for the Asia Graduate Program and I’m now spending 6 months at the London office before I move to Tokyo in September!

Tell us about a typical day

It is such a cliché but genuinely, every day is different here. All graduates get put on a diverse set of client accounts, which means the work is extremely varied. One hour I might do media summaries for a private equity client, in another I’ll be attending and analysing interviews with some of the most prominent politicians, executives, and public voices in the UK. Working across such a broad range of mandates means that you are constantly learning and provides a great base for specialisation later.

What is your favourite aspect of the job?

It is the way in which working at FGS has woven together my existing interests. As a student of politics, I love that my job revolves around keeping up to date with current affairs and the news. As someone who has studied Japanese, getting to work in Tokyo is a fantastic opportunity. With my international background, I get to work with some of the biggest global companies on cross-broader projects. It’s a perfect fit.

How would you describe yourself as a member of the team?

FGS and the people who work here make me feel a valued member of the team. Even if you’re one of the most junior people in the office, colleagues are often interested in what you have to say and ask for your opinion . When you work with the calibre of individuals that FGS employs, that is highly validating.

What do you think is special about FGS Global?

The people! It honestly has such a great culture, and the people are inspiring, incredibly friendly, and want the best for you. That goes for both the London office, but also the Tokyo office who have been incredibly welcoming and proactive. I’ve already gotten to know many of them and feel like a member of the team, even if I’m still in London. FGS also makes great effort to drive internal cohesion, with fun events and lunches, as well as a great buddy and mentor system.
